Our goal
The goal of the Wee Care Centre is to give each child the opportunity to reach their maximum potential and prepare them physically, socially, and emotionally for public or private school, or other appropriate community options.
A centre like no other
A centre like no other. Every child is special. Wee Care is a non-profit community service. It provides preschool programs based on the rationale of early intervention and integration. Care is available for children with special needs aged four months to five years and typically developing children.
Programs
The programs at Wee Care are planned to help each child realize their full potential and to provide for their unique educational needs. This includes daily activity, nutritious lunches and snacks, outdoor play, music, art, cooking, adaptive equipment, computer technologies, stories and free-play. There are also library visits, exciting outings, integrated play sessions and more.

Yes most parents can provide suncreen for their kids but a lot can not. And all our kids need many, many applications per day when the summer hits. The summer cost is roughly $250.

Being a very hands on learning centre, our kids love to create. Throughout the year we spend almost $300 just on craft glue. This wish allows the donor to support one month of fun.

Our Chef works hard every day to not only meet the very specific dietary needs of our kids, but also assuring their meals taste good. As you know, eating healthy is not cheap. We spend at least $50 a week to assure our kids eat healthy.

Our staff love taking the kids on field trips around the city. These bus tickets would be used for trips to Point Pleasant Park and Downtown etc.

At Wee Care we strive to incorporate sensory play into everything we do. Sensory play supports development in ALL children, encouraging language, social & emotional, and fine motor skills. By purchasing one "kit" you are bringing the kids things like rice, pasta, cornmeal, oil, salt, oatmeal, and food colouring. Our staff regularly make homemade playdough too.

We love play sand at Wee Care, almost as much as our kids ;) We go through at least two bags of play sand a month.

Wee Care has a team of 28 fulltime staff and volunteers assuring we work towards our mission of "striving to maximize abilities in all children" each and everyday. Providing coffee to them is a must!

As you can imagine, with a centre full of growing toddlers, we go through a lot of milk at Wee Care :) This fund will help us offset the cost of milk each week (even oat and almond milk.)
