Easter Seals Nova Scotia’s Camp Tidnish provides the only barrier free and fully accessible camping facility in Nova Scotia. Yet, according to a 2018 Statistics Canada’s Participation and Limitation Survey, 59 percent of adults with disabilities in Canada were unemployed or not in the workforce. For able-bodied adults, that number is only 27 percent. We also know that the more complex the disability, the higher the rate of unemployment. New Leaf Enterprises exists to change that trend.
