Dar Al Sunnah offers a weekend Quran school for boys & girls of all ages. This school focuses on teaching how to read & write Arabic, how to recite Quran, Tajweed & Quran memorization. This school is offered FREE of charge to all students.
Zakat al-fitr is obligatory for every Muslim, to be paid on his own behalf and on behalf of those on whose maintenance he is obliged to spend, if he has wealth surplus to his and his dependents’ needs for the day and night of ‘Eid: one sa‘. ($10/person)
If Ramadan comes & a person is unable to fast because he is elderly or sick with no hope of recovery, then he is not obliged to fast because he is unable to do so. So he should not fast & he should feed one poor person for each day. ($10/day not fasted)
