CLEARANCE TIME! Summer Seedling Sale, prices reduced to sell :)

We're back again for another clearance. Dare we say the FINAL CLEAROUT SALE? All seedlings are still HALF OFF! We still have vegetables, herbs, and flowers available. Come on by for our one last hurrah at the greenhouse for the 2023 season! .

This seedling sale is a major fundraiser for Veith House and its Urban Farm, and we are grateful for your support. We are going to be hosting a series of sales/pick-up windows over the next 10 days, so we hope to see you out. All these will take place at the Veith House greenhouse, 3115 Veith Street, Halifax: 

• Friday, July 7th from 3:00PM-7:00PM 

• Saturday, July 8th from 11:00AM - 2:00PM

When You Order Seedlings From Veith House YOU ARE:

• Receiving High-Quality, Community Grown, and Spray Free herb, vegetable, and flower seedlings .
• Building Community
• Strengthening the case for More Investment in Community Food Projects.
• Directly Supporting our operations and programs, which allows us to plan future projects and strengthen our capacity to deliver relevant programs.
• Helping to distribute Barrier-Free seedlings and vegetables to individuals and community partners who want improved access to high-quality produce.

How It Works

If you're a returning customer the sale process might seem a bit different this year. Our greenhouse is now suitably designed so that you can stroll through, browse, and select your own seedlings. As a result, we've redesigned the pre-orders to be for a quantity of seedlings, instead of specific plants. You will get to select your plants at the greenhouse during the sale dates. 

The Process

Option 1:

• First, you prepay for a set AMOUNT of seedlings.
• Then show up on the sale dates (listed above) and select your seedlings.

Option 2:

• If you prefer, we will offer in-person payment options (cash and card) on the sale dates.

ALL inventory will be available on a first-come-first-served basis. This sale will be open to the public, but if you order online and arrive early, you should guarantee the crops you are hoping for.

PLUS, we also have hanging baskets and larger pots! Come by the greenhouse and check out our larger pot options which feature 1-3 crops in each option, featuring vegetables, herbs, and flowers. These options will be first come, first serve, but also reduced to sell! Companion plants were specifically chosen because they are good companion plants, or the combo well for a specific food choice (ex: roma tomato and basil together for our pasta lovers out there).
