Spread Hope with the Community Care Adventure 2025 – Donate to Make a Difference!
Since 2019, the Captain Scott Legacy Society has been dedicated to building stronger communities through the power of volunteerism. From youth empowerment workshops to inclusive drop-in volunteering programs and impactful community outreach events, we inspire individuals to create a lasting legacy of giving back. Our story began with our co-founders, Scott Shaw and the late Greg Helem, both retired businesspeople and avid volunteers for many charities in Vancouver, BC. They made their legacy all about giving love and kindness, and want to support others to do the same!

In 2025, we’re excited to host our 2nd Annual Community Care Adventure—a volunteer festival running from March 22 to May 3, 2025. One of the highlights of this event is the Gifts of Hope Care Kit Packing Event, where volunteers will come together to assemble care kits for Directions Youth Services, a vital organization supporting vulnerable youth in our community.

The basic hygiene kit provides an individual with hygiene essentials like; shampoo, soap, tooth brush, toothpaste + more.
The deluxe hygiene kit includes all the essentials of a hygiene kit plus more to show them extra care, includes; a pair of socks, face cloth and brush plus all the basic items.
