Help make the holidays brighter in our community 🎁🎄❄️

It’s hard to believe it’s time to start thinking about the holidays again… which means it’s time to start thinking about our Happy Holidays Fundraiser!

Thanks to your support, in 2023 Veith House supported over 295 families and raised over $35,000! 

As the cost of living rises, we know that the holidays will be a very stressful time for many in our community; since opening registration last Tuesday we have had over 125 families sign up and we continue to get calls for help. We’d love to help 170 more, and with your generous contributions we know that we can! 

How does it work?

Our Happy Holiday program links you with folks and families in our community that need support this holiday season. Your donations are used to buy gift cards for families who have registered with us at Veith House. Denominations are based on family size. You can fundraise with your office, your family or your friends! Our fundraising site lets you create your own campaign, and track what you have raised. Or you can have an event: it could be a bake sale, a competition, or even a drag show! If you have a great idea, call our Director, Sara, on 902-453-4320.

Why Gift Cards?
While it is nice to shop for others, we think the best gift of all is giving folks the ability to go out and shop for their family; It's really nice for folks to be able to choose gifts for themselves, or to use funds where it’s most needed over the holidays. We are also happy to receive gift cards purchased by donors.

If you would like to donate a different amount than found in the WISHES options below,  simply click "Contribute" (top right) and then choose "or simply contribute" and you can enter any amount you choose!

All money donated to Happy Holidays directly supports the Happy Holidays program.

Please note that the voluntary tip added before completion of payment goes to our service provider Unity Values and is of course optional - this model of income generation means that Unity Values can help organizations like Veith House free of charge.

Did you know the Happy Holidays program started with a few turkeys being donated from the Irving Ship Yard? From there the program has grown to support hundreds of families in our community thanks to donations from all of you!
