Kids Help Phone is Canada’s only 24/7, national mental health service for young people, offering bilingual professional counselling, clinically-based tools, resource referrals and crisis support services.
Every day, Kids Help Phone receives more than 1,500 calls and texts from youth in distress from every part of the country. We conduct, on average, 11-12 active rescues for young people in imminent danger of self-harm every single day. In 2019, we had approximately 1.9 million interactions with young people across the country, and in 2020, this number grew exponentially to over 4.5 million.
Kids, Teens and Young Adults are reaching out about all kinds of topics. In Nova Scotia in particular, the top reasons why young people are reaching out, over text, are:

- Suicide
As the country's virtual care expert, we give millions of youth a safe, trusted space to talk over phone or through text or in self-directed supports in any moment of crisis or need. Through our digital transformation, we envision a future where every person in Canada is able to get the support they need, when they need it most, however they need it.

The Halifax Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Unity Values to help local Businesses support local Charities. Give Generously we all need a win in 2020 and these organizations have been working tirelessly to provide charitable services to our local Halifax community.
Tax Receipts will be issued automatically for all charitable donations by the Unity Values Foundation. No fees are deducted from the donation by either the Halifax Chamber or The Unity Values Foundation. The only fees removed from the donation are standard payment processing fees from Stripe and bank transfer fees (approx. 60 cents for batch transfer which will include multiple donations)
