Windhorse Farm is an extraordinary place near Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. It consists of a rare and ancient forest, organic permaculture gardens, a conference lodge, a century farmhouse and barn, off-grid forest cabins, a wood products facility, lake access and kilometres of walking trails.

It is located in the LaHave River watershed, where the Mi’kmaq people lived for thousands of years. For the past 30 years the Drescher family have cared for and enhanced Windhorse Farm and made it possible for thousands of others to experience its unique and powerful healing qualities. The Drescher’s dream has been to return Windhorse Farm to the Mi’kmaq – the original people of Nova Scotia.

The Ulnooweg Education Centre seeks support with the acquisition of Windhorse Farm and for the development and delivery of educational programs.

Windhorse Farm will become a place of learning, primarily for Indigenous people. It will be a place to learn about, culture, language, ecology, health and science, and to heal and grow. The focus will be land-based educational programming for children and youth, but there will be activities for all generations.

Your donation will help with the purchase of the property and ongoing program delivery.
