Being a teenager isn't easy. You've got a lot going on, from starting high school to trying to fit in with peers and going through numerous changes. This gets increasingly difficult if you do not have the financial ability to purchase clothes, toiletries, or other essential supplies. It is even more challenging because many donation centres or non-profits will group teenagers together with children or adults, despite having different needs. Unfortunately, this means that teenagers are often overlooked and may not be getting the attention they deserve.
However, there's hope! Thanks to generous individuals like yourself and organizations like Kits for a Cause, we can help fill this gap and provide donations that teenagers will find useful.
This holiday season, the Apollo squad and Traction on Demand have decided to help show teenagers they are loved and that they matter through gathering donations to create holiday gift packages. These packages will be donated to Haven on Queensway, where teenagers will receive the necessary supplies to help them get through this challenging time in their lives.
By purchasing from the wishlist of our campaign, you can help us reach our goal of raising $1,500 and spreading hope and joy to those in need!
How does it work?
- Select the items you wish to donate from Haven on Queensway's wishlist below.
- After the fundraising campaign ends on December 5th, all items will be shipped to the Toronto office.
- A team of volunteer Tractionites will wrap and prepare the holiday gift packages and drop them off at Haven on Queensway.
- Haven on Queensway will distribute the packages to teenagers.
Tax receipts will be issued by The Unity Values Foundation.
Haven on the Queensway has developed many partnerships with
community organizations and churches who have come alongside our
organization to provide relief to people in crisis situations. We
offer services that lessen the effects of poverty and homelessness,
addiction and recovery, distributing food and clothing as well as
providing support services for women, children, and seniors.
We offer Family Services (Food Bank, Haven's Closet, Children's
Books & Newborn Services), Recovery & Rehabilitation
(Alcoholics Anonymous & Human Exploitation Victim Support),
Services Beyond Our Walls (Community Dinner & Hope with Wheels),
School Supplies, Thanksgiving Dinner, Emergency Food & Holiday
Gift Basket Support.
All product prices include shipping and
applicable taxes. Once a donation is made for a specific item, the
Unity Values Foundation will work with Kits for a Cause and their
procurement partners to ship the item directly to the charity noted
in the campaign. Tax receipts will be
provided by the Unity Values Foundation. Payments and Receipts are
processed by the Unity Values Foundation. The Unity Values
Foundation does not take a percentage of the donation. All funds
donated are used for the procurement of the donated item. All
donations need to be directed to a registered Canadian Charity,. If
the chosen charity can not be reached or is not compliant Unity will
work to send the donations to a related charity.

The Stocking Stuffer Kit comes packed with sweet treats, warm socks, some hygiene items and fun games & activities! The stocking will be customized for the recipient's needs.
