The VMC team will be assembling care kits for CHATS, (Community & Home Assistance to Seniors Homes), a charity for seniors.
At CHATS , we’re more than just transportation, meals, and caregiver relief. We’re a one-stop shop of programs and services designed to meet your needs or the needs of your loved one. We help to inspire older adults to discover the possibilities of aging at home longer and staying safe for a better quality of independent living. We also work to empower caregivers to look after themselves, so they can better provide compassionate assistance to those they care for.
Please scroll down to the Contributions button located on the right side of the screen and click on it. Then select "or simply contribute" button to make your monetary donation. Donations will be collected up to 12midnight on Thursday September 16, 2021. Please note, the care kits shown under the "Wishes" section are sample care kits for Seniors. The VMC care kits will be customized and items based on the funds we raise.
We will assemble the care kits after our VMC site visit the morning of Thursday September 23, 2021. Details for the morning of Thursday September 23 will be provided shortly. Dana will bring the care kits items on the Thursday and can drop them off directly to CHATS head office, located in Aurora.
The Unity Value Foundation provides the platform for organizations to make their donations to select charities. The Unity Values Foundation works with Kits for a Cause and their procurement partners. Payments and receipts as well as tax receipts will be processed/provided by the Unity Values Foundation. The Unity Values Foundation does not take a percentage of the donations, all funds donated are used for the procurement of the donated items. All donations need to be directed to a registered Canadian Charity - CHATS is a Canadian charity and partners with United Way.
