Phi Gamma Delta Community Care Kits!
The Scott Mission meets the needs of men, women, children and entire families. While some families have temporarily fallen on hard times, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, others face the many challenges of beginning a new life in Canada
Clients from more than 130 countries have visited Scott Mission for help. Women and families from Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Portugal, China, Ukraine, Colombia, Jamaica, Italy, Mexico and Russia have all found their way to the Mission.
The Tau Kappa Chapter has a history of supporting this wonderful organization and is proud to announce this fundraiser to provide warm weather gear for the Mission's clientele.
In honour of 101 Years in Canada, we have set the ambitious fundraising goal of $3,400 or 100 Adult Winter Warmth Kits. Please support us in this worthy endeavour.

Dwayne's Story
Dwayne's Story “I stayed out in the winter cold,” Dwayne says, remembering how he suffered. “Nowhere to go warm up, no food, no hot shower . . . pretty rough.”
He’d heard about Scott Mission, but it sounded too good to be true. So he stood across the street and watched for hours as people went through our doors, received a warm welcome, and sat down to a meal. Finally, he mustered the courage to come inside.
“The first time I came to Scott Mission was a little intimidating. I didn’t know anyone, and I didn’t know about shelters.
“They were really welcoming. I got all the help one could need right here at Scott Mission—food, clothing, a warm place to stay, and support from the staff,” he says. “If you need anything, even if you need socks, they’ll give it to you.”
Supporting Phi Gamma Delta's Community Care Kit Program makes sure folks like Dwayne receive the basic necessities they need this winter.
