Our gala marks the momentous launch of our affordable housing campaign, igniting the beacon of hope for those caught in the storm of homelessness. Join us as we also celebrate the triumphant return of Flight for Hope, circling the globe to support this very campaign.  

We're in the midst of an urgent affordable housing crisis, and we need YOU to join the fight! Cast your mind back to 2020, when 100% of Home Suite Hope's program participants triumphantly graduated and paid market rent independently. But here's the shocking truth: today, that number has plummeted to 72%. Our marginalized communities are teetering on the edge, struggling to afford the soaring prices that skyrocket with each passing day.  A one-bedroom apartment rarely hits the market for anything less than a jaw-dropping $2600 monthly. As for two-bedroom apartments, they command an astronomical price tag of over $3200 a month! 

All proceeds from the Home for Good Gala will be used to help create affordable housing units for HSH single-parent families. In order for our programming to continue with the great supports it has, our next step is to purchase or build our own units to house single-parent families. Due to the ever-increasing rent costs, it is becoming increasingly difficult to embrace new program participants, condemning them to the relentless cycle of homelessness and greater reliance on social assistance for survival. Now, more than ever, single parents within our vulnerable population require your unwavering support. They yearn for housing affordability in Halton, allowing them to focus on sculpting a future of economic stability for their families.
