My name is Jessica and I am Ojibwe from Dokis First Nation residing on the traditional lands of the Haudenosaunee, Anishinabewaki, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Mississauga, and the Wendake-Nionwentsïo. With the first National Day of Truth and Reconciliation happening this September 30th, 2021 - I wanted to do something meaningful to give back to the Indigenous community. I have to admit I am very fortunate for the life I have been given and continue to strive for, but there are many Indigenous people who don't have the basic necessities and continue to face rising homelessness and racial discrimination. Please join me by purchasing items from this wishlist so that we may provide essential care kits to local Indigenous organizations supporting youth and homelessness. Chi-miigwetch!
