Welcome The Annual Urban Farm Vegetable Seedling Sale!

We're back for another seedling sale, and we've got our typical vegetable and herb seedlings . Back again this year is FLOWER seedlings for your summer garden! Tell your friends, family, and colleagues, we've got seedlings for EVERYONE .

Whether you're growing on your balcony, backyard, or as part of a community garden or organization, we'd love to provide you the seedlings you need. This seedling sale is a major fundraiser for Veith House and its Urban Farm, and we are grateful for your support. Stop by selected dates between May 18th-June 22nd. You can find us at 3115 Veith Street, in the greenhouse! 

Seedling Sale Dates & Times:

When You Order Seedlings From Veith House YOU ARE:

• Receiving H igh-Quality, Community Grown, and Spray Free herb, vegetable, and flower seedlings .
• Building Community
• Strengthening the case for More Investment in Community Food Projects.
• Directly Supporting our operations and programs, which allows us to plan future projects and strengthen our capacity to deliver relevant programs.
• Helping to distribute B arrier-Free seedlings and vegetables to individuals and community partners who want improved access to high-quality produce.

How It Works

Our greenhouse is suitably designed so that you can stroll through, browse, and select your own seedlings. As a result, we've redesigned the pre-orders to be for a quantity of seedlings, instead of specific plants. You will get to select your plants at the greenhouse during the sale dates.

The Process

Option 1:

• First, you prepay for a set AMOUNT of seedlings.
• Then show up on the sale dates and select your seedlings. (unfortunately we no longer can offer a pre-sale pickup window, but if you already ordered, you can send us your desired list of seedlings and we can put them aside for you) 

Option 2:

• If you prefer, we will offer in-person payment options (cash and card) on the sale dates.

ALL inventory will be available on a first-come-first-served basis. The best way to ensure access to the varieties you're looking for is to pre-order. Please bring proof of purchase with you.

NOTE: These are all the options that we have intended to grow, but as many of you gardeners know, not every crop pans out. So we apologize in advance if some of these options are unavailable, or not ready.  Unfortunately our lavender, snap dragon, and garlic chives did not work out this season.

Orders for the SALE are LIVE, and the on-site sales will take place on Saturday, May 18th. Please bring your own container to transport the seedlings, if you are able.

Veith House's Community Breakfast:

We will be hosting a community breakfast in the garden, on the first day of the seedling sale (Saturday, May 18th).

We will be featuring our farm-fresh eggs. More details to come, so please stay tuned!

2024 marks Veith House's 50th Anniversary:

To honor our 50th Anniversary we have a lot of exciting events planned.

We are happy to announce The Veith House 50/50 raffle. The raffle will run the course of the seedling sale (May 18th-June 22nd). More details to come, so please stay tuned!
