Halifax Sexual Health Centre is a charitable non-profit group of family doctors, nurses, health promotors, social workers, and administrative staff that run our community medical clinic. They offer a safe, non-judgmental, and open environment for clients in need of sexual, reproductive, and gender-affirming health services. Their client population is very diverse, they provide services to all ages for individuals without family doctors, vulnerable populations, youth, and the 2SLGBTQ+ community. They are not funded by the NS Health Authority. Instead, they rely on community and government grants and MSI billings to support our clinic. Providing health care in NS is costly and they are experiencing demand that far surpasses their capacity to deliver services.
